Speaking of
books, have you ever had a crush on a character in a book? It's happened to me loads of times, but the one that comes to mind is Rhett Butler in
Gone With The Wind. Partially because I pictured him as Clark Gable (and, I mean, talk about tall, dark and dashing!), but I also loved his character and how he saw right through silly, juvenile Scarlett.
Any other fictional character crushes worth noting? (My, this was a bookworm-y, girly tangent!)
Harry Potter. Clearly. Though... I like to think he's not so fictitious...
ReplyDeleteBethany, I'm pretty sure I once had a crush on Harry Potter, too. I think I remember telling someone in high school that I wanted to marry him. I was a weird teenager :)
ReplyDeleteMr. Darcy, I feel, is a given when it comes to literary crushes. I also have a little thing for Cyrano de Bergerac.
ReplyDeletejust found you through a cup of jo :) i had to comment because rhett butler is my ultimate crush as well! i love how confident he is and absolutely how he could see through scarletts antics. favorite book ever.
ReplyDeleteThis totally happens to me. I always wanted to marry "Pa" from A Little House on the Prairie when I was a little girl. :)
ReplyDeleteOh my, I love this conversation!
ReplyDeleteHarry Potter is a totally worthy book-crush, Mr. Darcy is quite possible the ultimate book-crush, and Tonia, Pa is definitely the type of guy a girl wants to marry.
Thanks for the reminders!
the only book crush I've ever had is on Laurie from Little Women. I recently re-read the book and was still pissed that Laurie ended up with Amy.
ReplyDeleteLaurie! Loved him.
